From Hykataki to Hale-Bopp
One evening during the time Hykataki comet was visable in the sky in Michigan, I went with friends John & Kathy Jolman, to the local Astronomy Club's Star Party. As we were leaving, Kathy turned & looked behind us, & said "Wouldn't that make a great quilt?". I agreed, & went home &pieced this background, & did raw edge applique of the figures we saw silhouetted against the night sky. I promised Kathy I would leave this to her in my Will.It wasn't until Hale-Bopp was visible in the sky, that I finished this, hence the name.
