detail of Alaskan Autumn Gold

The glacier in the background was the first time I used paint on fabric. It was watered down acryllic paint. The spruce trees are hand stitched Perle cotton. The gold trees are different techniques, traupunto, & 2 different methods of dimensional raw edge applique' that I invented as I went. This was 4th in the Homesick for Alaska series.
