He painted the fabric with Versatex paints. Fused 2 layers together for the flower petals & leaves, cut, raw edge, & stitched on while quilting (Appliquilted). Unfortunately this quilt was taken from my mailbox when Laura mailed it to me so I could hang it in our quilt show, & we happened to leave town the day she mailed it, because my sister-in-law died, we got home on a Sunday, & our mailbox was broken into Saturday evening. A neighbor found the envelope with it's note still in it, in the ditch. Laura & I both cried.
