This is a series of 10, that I've made to be used as Thank you notes for the Alaska Fiber Festival. I had fun with these. The salmon color is quilt batting that I hand-dyed. The background fabric is all paint rags from cleaning my brushes for other projects. I the used Shiva Oil Paint Sticks to do rubbings of different objects for more texture. When the paint sticks have cured for a few days, you then heat set them by ironing the fabric on newspaper. I used the "Creative Opportunies" section of the paper for the pressing, then saved that, & tore pieces from it to use on these cards. I also drizzled a skinny scrap of a beautiful & expensive rayon fabric on each card before quilting.
