Measuring 9 1/2" x 11 1/2" the thread painted printed fabric is done in rayons & silk, & quilted in cotton on the red background. The "lace" edge is 100% silk thread, that was thread-painted on the cotton background fabric, then a solution called "Fabric-Etch" was applied to the background cotton fabric, heat then applied & the cotton is burned away, leaving only the silk. This is all Free motion thread painting, no digitized embroidery machines involved.
